Giguere is a good receiver who is badly used. First of all, he missed a bunch of games because of injury. When he was healthy, he was usually the “Z receiver” or wide side receiver. Most wide side receivers only see one or two passes a game. The way DD was throwing in 2017, there was no way he could even connect to the wide side. Remember that game where he put pass after pass at Nik Lewis and B.J. Cunningham’s ankles? Even Rod Black and Matt Dunigan questioned Durant’s throwing.
Put Giguere with Edmonton and he’ll do a lot better both as a slotback and a return man.

Tough business. Him being Canadian should not be the overriding factor in keeping him. It should be production.

In reply to BC. Like so many before him, he was never the same after coming back from the NFL. They asked him to bulk up, and he was never as explosive again. I always cringe when one of the TSN announcers goes on about his speed. He hasn't been faster than the average WR for most of the past decade.

I wanted to like Sam but his penchant for dropping balls when we really needed a catch was the main reason (I think) that the Ti-Cats let him go. Good player but overrated and probably overpaid.

Vince Ferragamo played one year for the Als in 1981 and was a disaster. Nelson Skalbania the owner was a disaster…The franchise folded in May 1982…. Epitaph Als fold MAY 2019….

The Als died in 1982 because over the previous 2 yrs prior there was an influx of players and coaches who knew
SFA about Cdn football. We are heading in that direction…

Ok this is the last straw.. I was a 12 year season ticket holder who gave them up 3 years ago when they wanted payment before the grey cup game for the following season. No fan respect at all.

Losing Giguere is just plain stupid. He was underused because he is ‘ Canadian ‘ not for any other reason. We have lost a great RECEIVER who was not in the CLIQUE…Sam if you are reading this hope you end up with a winning organization because you tried too hard for a losing Culture in Mtl.

To ownership …. Your cardhouse will collapse by game 6 in 2018.

Mr. Reed I have been polite up to now but am now convinced you do not have a clue about anything. PS …includes an extended family that has followed the Als since the 60’s.
