Carter is a narcissistic jerk who’s loud mouth act wore out his welcome in Montreal. Based on his clownish act on the field, he is one of the least professional players in the CFL. When he bumps a coach and challenges an entire team he deserves NO respect. Then he has an altercation in practice then gets suspended only a moron would say he is a class act.

I get you are a good Rider Prider and have a crush on Carter so you are willing to look the other way to the circus that is Duron Carter. However, he will eventually wear out his welcome with Jones who can be a no non-sense guy if it impacts team unity. I hope you profess your love for Duron the day he is run out of Riderville which will happen at some point.

… and no I did not misread his comments because he should HAVE NONE in the public eye about another player’s career choice. Your spin on this is complete and utter B.S.

There is enough talent in the NFL and up coming collage players that Carter will be seen as too much of a cancer to get a NFL team to sign him. If Kaepernick can’t get signed.. what chance does a mouth piece like carter have???

In reply to Bleeding Green. the Fifa socce r rules governing loans and transfers between clubs in different countries us a good starting point. There are no farm teams in soccer. Everyone follows same worldwide Fifa rules AND clubs are considered legally equals. Even TFC 1 and 2 follow same rules.

You never know which players will stick in the NFL and which ones won’t. I don’t think many would’ve guessed that Canadian Quarterback Jesse Palmer would’ve made it in the NFL. A guy like Andrew Hawkins has had a long successful career in the NFL, but was no superstar in the CFL with Montreal. Was he better than Terry Vaughn, Jermaine Copeland or Ben Cahoon? No chance!
And what about Ricky Williams? One of the best running backs in the NFL, but mediocre in the CFL.
Then there’s Jeff Richards, who was mostly a backup to Antoine Pruneau in Ottawa, but surprisingly made the NFL last fall. So, you never can tell. Both Brandon Zylstra and Duron Carter are good enough for the NFL. Will they stick? We shall see.

Tim’s comment about NFL practice squad salary is incorrect. Last year the MINIMUM was well over $7000 per week. Even at minimum that adds up to a LOT more than 50k, and many players get paid much more than the min.
