All I’ve heard about the guy is he’s a headache. And unlike many of the QB greats who came up here from the usa it seems as tho we’re begging this bust to come. If he’s bad news we don’t need him.

A bust in the NFL? it depends how you define that.
ALL of our current CFL QBs couldn’t make it in the NFL that’s why they decided to try the CFL.
The CFL is the “second chance” career -if they do well they have the chance to return to the NFL

Blue Rules – most of our CFL coaches have never stepped foot in Canada before but do a great job coaching.
These guys have coached at the NCAA level which is miles ahead of the minor league CIS. Yes the rules are slightly different but these guys have no problem adapting straight away.
I don’t think Tressman had ever stepped foot in Canada before being the Als coach.

HAVing that joke of a logo doesn’t help their image. Imagine if the Habs logo was a growling Youppi. Exactly. Als need to start with a rebrand by returning to their classic iconic winning 1970s logo, when it was as respected and recognized as the Habs and Expos logos.

They need something in Quebec, the last Super Bowl ratings on RDS was ONE MILLION, the last Grey Cup on RDS was less than 200k
Obviously French Canadians prefer the NFL, they need something to get them back to watching the CFL
Even the Montreal soccer team outdrew the Als by 4k per game and the soccer team plays twice a many games.
The soccer team drew a record Canadian attendance at the Big O for their playoff game over 60k, I doubt the Als will ever get those numbers back

But ALL of our coaches except Buona and O’Shea are American coaches. We haven’t exactly been too successful with Canadian coaches in the CFL…..
At least our US coaches have coached in the big league and the NCAA. This guy has the resume.

He’s just saying what he needs to say to be positive, give the city some hope. I wouldn’t expect him to say “I don’t think we will win a cup for a few years”
