I don’t think he got a whole lot more from Montreal, but he had done well in Ottawa and seemed like a solid leader so he was probably a bit insulted by the offer. Ottawa is cheap with DBs, it would appear, and it bit them this past season.

I think he probably meant something more like rediscovery. Johnson had been cut and it looked like his career may be over, and then Jones signed him and he ended up being a great veteran leader who really helped solidify our secondary.

Say what? Johnson first played for the Riders in 2007. How in hell does that make him a Jones discovery? The green kool aid is strong in you, almost to the point of being ridiculous. SMH

John Ojo was a 2015 CFL all-star his last year in Edmonton. In a pre-season game in the 2016 season he ruptured an achilles tendon & missed the entire year. He was never cut from the 2016 Esks roster as Jones wasn’t even in Edmonton at the time, Dave. He signed with the NY Jets in the spring of 2017 & was later waived.
