I would suggest that Trestman is signed in in TO for 2 more years. Plus I’m sure he’s smart enough to have a contract that allows him to take over the GM roll if J. Popp is to leave.
I also agree that if Kavis Reed still thinks DD is the answer for QB in Montreal than the ALS are going to take a lot longer to rebuild and 2018 will be a completely wasted season.
As a long time CFL fan I have witnessed just about every team fall from grace. Being top of the mark one year and then bottom of the barrel 2 years later. The only team that seems immune to that effect in my life time has been Calgary. Not because I dislike Calgary but I for one would like to see them humbled for a couple years. Allow their spoiled fan base to wallow in what every other teams fans have had to endure. Then maybe they might support their Mustang team a little better. Right now it’s kind of a ho hum we win again. Plus I’d love to see Bo the Twitter Ho (Texan self appointed overseer of the CFL) have to play behind an average Oline and below average receivers. Then he would understand what QBs like Ricky Ray, Kevin Glen, Darian Durant and Mike Reilly have had to endure during their CFL careers.

Go after Trestman for the GM, coach and all things related to the on field side of football. Boivin can take care of the off field side. Fans know Trestman and he would immediately bring more fans into the stands.

In reply to Boneyard. I can’t wait to see DD run out of the visitors tunnel of our shiney new stadium, with his head down. Wether you like the guy or not, Chris Jones made some wise moves dumping Durrant (past his best before date), Dressler (injury prone), Chick (on the downward trend). Montreal has to take the approach that the Riders did, don’t necessary try to win it all THIS year, rebuild properly. AND, the fans need to be patient and support the process.

In reply to George Porge. Right you are George. More slick moves by Kavis and Co. Absolutely thoughtless in my mind. Willy and Shiltz should see all game time the remainder of this season. How could it have hurt to bring a neg list QB to the team and check out your future prospects? Durant is nowhere.

FFS Why? Just Why, Kavis? There is absolutely nothing to be gained by giving any more playing time to Durant. None. Every single down Durant plays is a down that you could be spending evaluating literally anyone who would be more likely to be a longer-term solution than Durant.
