TSN issued a statement on Wednesday following the CFL’s announcement of its formalized discussions with the XFL.

TSN remains committed to our longstanding and successful partnership with the CFL, and we fully support the league as it explores new ways to grow the game of football. As the league’s exclusive Canadian broadcaster, we will continue to work closely with the CFL and our advertising partners as we prepare for the 2021 season and beyond.

TSN has been the CFL’s exclusive television broadcast partner since 2008. TSN and its French-language counterpart, RDS, hold exclusive media rights to all CFL games, including the Grey Cup. In addition to broadcast and digital rights, the deal features exclusive radio rights to the Grey Cup for Bell Media’s Grey Cup Radio Network.
