The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed national offensive lineman Evan Johnson, per leagues sources.
Johnson was scheduled to earn $150,000 in 2020 with the Ottawa Redblacks, however the season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Through three seasons in the CFL, Johnson has played in 44 games and developed into a high calibre Canadian starter along the offensive line.
The 26-year-old was selected in the first round, ninth overall during the 2017 CFL draft by Ottawa. He dressed all 18 games and started as a rookie.
The Regina native played U Sports football at the University of Saskatchewan from 2013 to 2016.
