The B.C. Lions have re-signed CFL all-star receiver Bryan Burnham, per sources.

It’s a one-year contract for the 2021 season.

Burnham has spent all six of his seasons in Canada playing in British Columbia. He’s put together four straight 1,000-yard campaigns and been named a West Division all-star each of those years.

The six-foot-two, 205-pound target has been named a league all-star the past three CFL seasons. Burnham had the best season of his career in 2019, making 100 receptions for 1,492 yards and eleven touchdowns. He was scheduled to earn $202,000 in 2020, however the season was cancelled.

After playing defensive back for two years at the University of Tulsa, Burnham switched to receiver for his junior season and caught 54 passes for 850 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games, averaging 15.7 yards per catch. The Moorestown, New Jersey native tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the first game of his senior season in 2012.

Following his NCAA career, Burnham signed with the Lions in May 2014. Through 82 career CFL games, the 30-year-old has 368 receptions for 5,651 yards and 33 touchdowns while averaging 15.4 yards per catch.

Burnham has built a strong rapport with franchise quarterback Mike Reilly as the Lions retain the bonafide No. 1 target.
