The B.C. Lions have re-signed a huge part of their offensive line — literally.
Six-foot-eight, 325-pound David Knevel signed a contract extension with the team on Thursday, preventing him from exploring free agency on February 9.
“David is a player who has taken big strides since his arrival,” said Lions co-GM/head coach Rick Campbell in a press release.
“We look forward to him continuing that progression. He will be a key member of our team in 2021.”
The native of Brantford, Ont. was a third-round selection in the 2018 CFL Draft out of Nebraska. He has dressed for 19 games with the Lions over two CFL seasons, making one start at left tackle.
