One of the top players available in the 2021 CFL draft is officially going pro.

University of Virginia receiver Terrell Jana will be forgoing his extra year of NCAA eligibility to declare for the NFL and CFL drafts, he revealed on Twitter.

The B.C. native is hoping to catch on with an NFL team, likely as an undrafted free agent. If not, he will be looking to join a CFL team as an early-round draft pick.

Jana had a productive collegiate career, making 122 receptions for 1,473 yards and five touchdowns. His best season came in 2019 when he finished second on the Cavaliers with 878 receiving yards.

The CFL recently determined that all NCAA prospects will be left in the draft even though many will return to college in 2021. Jana’s stock should rise after declaring that he intends to go pro.

Jana was the No. 4-ranked prospect in 3DownNation‘s initial 2021 CFL Draft prospect rankings from September.
