Carolina came to play and took the contest down to the wire. Joey Slye missed a 67-yard field goal, which would have been an NFL record, at the buzzer and the Chiefs squeaked out a 33-31 victory to improve to 8-1. Zylstra and the Panthers fell to 3-6 through nine games.
The former Edmonton receiver entered Sunday’s game with one reception for four yards on the season. He’s played in 32 games with Minnesota (2018) and Carolina (2019-present) since leaving the CFL, making ten catches for 133 yards.
