The Lions have sent their execution strategy for opening the team’s Surrey practice facility to the province.

According to TSN reporter Farhan Lalji, the league office has been in contact with all of the nine teams in regards to the plan for opening facilities while adhering to governmental guidelines.

Pro sports teams in Ontario were given the go ahead on Monday, May 11. That included the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Ottawa Redblacks. Coaches, management and players can be in the building as long as the strict rules are followed.

The regular season was scheduled to kick-off on Thursday, June 11, but Ambrosie has stated the schedule won’t start before the beginning of July and it will likely be later. If franchises can open their doors, perhaps it’s a positive sign football could be played in 2020.
