Ottawa’s Neville Gallimore posts eye-popping numbers at NFL Combine

Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle defensive tackle Neville Gallimore is putting on a show at the NFL Combine.

The Canadian product weighed in at 6’2 304-pounds before posting a lightning quick forty yard dash time of 4.79s with a 1.69s ten-yard split, the second fastest in the defensive line group.

The Jamaican-born defender, who immigrated to Ottawa as a child, showed scouts explosiveness and fluid movement in the drills. He added 23 reps on the bench press earlier in the day.

A four-year starter on Oklahoma’s defensive line, Gallimore recorded 148 career tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 9 sacks. He was named first-team All-Big12 after a dominant senior season that saw him post four sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss.

Going in to the Combine, Gallimore was ranked as the 41st best prospect by lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah. With his performance Saturday, he’s likely elevated his status and could be in the first round conversation.
