Province of Champions? Bombers celebrate Manitoba Scotties win

The good times are definitely rolling in Manitoba sports.

On Sunday night, the Manitoba-based team skipped by Kerri Einarson defeated Ontario’s Rachel Homan in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts Final in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

For their part, the Bombers seemed to enjoy not only the win, but the overall circumstances of the win.

The Bombers are hopeful that history will repeat itself in November, though they’d probably be fine with beating a Quebec-based team as well.

Since the Bombers won the Grey Cup in November, Manitoba has not only won the Scotties but also swept the most recent Canadian junior curling championships (both teams went on to win the World Championships as well). It’ll be up to Jason Gunnlaugson and Mike McEwen (should he win the wild card game) to keep the streak going at the Brier starting Friday in Kingston, Ontario.

Now, can someone do something about the Jets?
