Former Ottawa Redblacks’ receiver Dominique Rhymes has signed with the B.C. Lions, per sources.
Rhymes caught 102 passes for 1,578 yards and six touchdowns over three seasons in Ottawa. His best year came in 2019 when the 26-year-old hauled in 65 balls for 1,056 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 16.2 yards per catch.
The Murray State product is expected to start at boundary receiver with the Lions, the spot that was filled by Duron Carter in 2019.
Today’s CFL news in your inbox every afternoon.
The addition of Rhymes could mean the end of B.C.’s pursuit of high-priced free agent Derel Walker.
