The Calgary Stampeders are keeping their quarterback room full by re-signing Montell Cozart.
Re-signing Cozart became a high priority for general manager John Hufnagel after last season’s back up to Bo Levi Mitchell, Nick Arbuckle was dealt to the Ottawa Redblacks to become their starting quarterback.
Cozart joined the Stampeders in 2018 where he dressed as the third quarterback in 11 games. The Kansas City native continued in his third string role for much of 2019 but where he completed one pass for 11 yards.
