Chris Ackie has requested — and been granted — his release from the Montreal Alouettes. He was set to become a free agent at 12:00 noon ET.

The 28-year-old started ten games at weak-side linebacker in 2019, recording 38 defensive tackles. He posted 170 total tackles, four forced fumbles, two sacks, and two interceptions in 62 career games with the Alouettes.

Ackie is one of the top players available in Tuesday’s free agent frenzy. Following his release, he has a head-start on the market.
