Defensive back Trumaine Washington has signed a contract with the Edmonton Eskimos. He became a free agent at today’s deadline.

The 24-year-old appeared in twelve games with the Argonauts in 2019, recording 23 tackles and three interceptions.

The five-foot-nine, 185-pound cover man was a versatile piece in Toronto where he started at boundary cornerback, boundary halfback, field-side halfback, and field-side cornerback.

Edmonton has a long list of free agent defensive backs that includes Arjen Colquhoun, Tyquwan Glass, Monshadrik ‘Money’ Hunter, Josh Johnson, and Maurice McKnight. The addition of Washington will help alleviate those potential losses.
