The Ticats are nearing an agreement with pass rusher Ja’Gared Davis.
Hearing that Ja’Gared Davis and the #TiCats are very close to an extension. Not done yet, but I would be surprised at this stage to see him hit free agency. #CFLFA @CFLonTSN pic.twitter.com/A66To983q4

Last February, Davis visited Hamilton and inked a one-year contract. He recorded 13 sacks and earned an East Division all-star nod in his first season with the Ticats — Davis collected $187,000 in 2019.
Davis spent three seasons in Calgary with the Stampeders playing 45 games making 123 tackles, 23 sacks, forcing seven fumbles, snatching three interceptions and scoring two touchdowns.
The 29-year-old Davis signed with the Stamps at the start of training camp in 2016 after spending time in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins. He played in seven games making five tackles.
Hamilton is nearing securing the East Division sack leader from one year ago.
