Eskimos retain special teams ace, Canadian fullback James Tuck

The Edmonton Eskimos have extended the contract of national fullback James Tuck through the 2020 season.

Tuck was set to become a free agent on February 11. He first signed with Edmonton on Sept. 12, 2017. In three seasons, Tuck appeared in 25 games, recording 31 special teams tackles and forced two fumbles.

Tuck was originally drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the fourth round, 31st overall in the 2014 CFL Draft. In 2016, after one game with the Als, he signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2017, Tuck spent time with the Toronto Argonauts before joining the Esks.

The 29-year-old Tuck is a product of York University and through six seasons in the CFL has turned into a reliable Canadian contributor.
