Canadian defensive back Justin Howell extends contract with Ottawa Redblacks

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed Canadian defensive Back Justin Howell to a one-year contract extension through the 2020 season.

The Carleton University product has spent the last two years in Ottawa and became an impact player for the Redblacks in 2019. The Bradford, ON native has played 27 games with Ottawa since joining the CFL and accumulated 21 defensive tackles and 16 tackles on the special teams.

Howell was taken by the Redblacks in the seventh round of the 2018 CFL draft after playing his entire university career with the Ravens.
