But Campbell has been re-added to the practice roster. Campbell was signed to the Chargers’ practice squad on September 11 after spending the off-season and training camp with the New York Jets. He was promoted to Los Angeles’ active roster on October 29. In Week 13, Campbell made his NFL debut against the Denver Broncos.
Campbell has played four CFL seasons with three different teams: Calgary Stampeders, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes. The 26-year-old made 53 tackles, nine special teams stops, four interceptions, scored three touchdowns, forced two fumbles and notched one sack in 42 games.
Campbell is known for speed after ripping off a 4.35 40-yard dash time during the 2015 CFL combine. That helped earn rookie mini-camp invites from the Washington Redskins and New York Giants prior to being selected in the third round of the 2015 CFL draft.
