Evans suffered the injury against the Bombers in Montreal’s miracle come back victory. He had some words about Canadian running back Andrew Harris following the win.
The 26-year-old has played in 12 games making 28 tackles and three interceptions so far in 2019. He signed with the Als in May following a stint in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football.
Previously, Evans spent four seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, suiting up in 48 games making 127 tackles, nine interceptions and three forced fumbles. He was a CFL all-star in 2017 and West Division all-star in 2018.
Evans is a high calibre defender who Montreal will have to try and replace.
DB Ciante Evans has been placed on the 6-game injured list due to a fractured hand. He’s more than likely out for the remaining of the regular season. #Alouettes @CFL
