Former NFL DL, Canadian Stefan Charles signs with Edmonton Eskimos

Canadian defensive lineman Stefan Charles is in Edmonton and has signed with the Eskimos, per sources.

Charles has played in 49 NFL games making 60 tackles and five sacks over four seasons with the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions. The 31-year-old spent training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, Kansas City Chiefs in 2018 and Atlanta Falcons in 2019.

He went unselected in the 2013 NFL draft, but the Tennessee Titans signed him to an undrafted free agent contract. Charles was assigned to the practice squad once training camp ended, however, the Bills signed him to their active roster that October.
