The 26-year-old was released by the New York Jets among the final training camp cuts.
Campbell has played four CFL seasons for three different teams: Calgary Stampeders, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes. The 25-year-old made 53 tackles, nine special teams stops, four interceptions, scored three touchdowns, forced two fumbles and notched one sack in 42 games.
Campbell is known for speed after ripping off a 4.35 40-yard dash time during the 2015 CFL combine.
That helped earn rookie mini-camp invites from the Washington Redskins and New York Giants prior to being selected in the third round of the 2015 CFL draft.
