Brandon Burks had been the Argos’ starting running back, but he’s been placed on the six-game injured list. Burks had rushed for 204 yards on 34 carries (6.0 yards per carry) and caught 15 passes for 144 yards and one touchdown.

Since being a Week 10 scratch against the Edmonton Eskimos, the Argos were seeing if there is any trade market for Wilder Jr. Putting Wilder Jr. back in the number one running back role is forced by injury, but also give a chance to try and increase his value. Wilder Jr. is a free agent following the 2019 season.
