Eagles waive former Stampeder & CFL MODP Alex Singleton

A former CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player is no longer on an NFL roster.

Alex Singleton, 25, was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles as part of the team’s final training camp cuts. He will become a free agent unless another NFL club claims his rights on the waiver wire.

Singleton has consistently graded out as one of the Eagles’ best defenders in the preseason, recording 28 tackles in four preseason games.

The former Stampeder signed with the Eagles after three seasons in Calgary, recording 311 tackles, six forced fumbles, four sacks, and one interception in 54 regular season CFL games.
