Bombers’ Canadian defensive back Jeff Hecht has remained quiet following the two-game suspension handed down to Winnipeg running back Andrew Harris for a positive drug test.
That’s notable because after Ottawa Redblacks long snapper Louis-Philippe Bourassa received the same penalty for a banned substance found in his system, Hecht called him out for being “lazy” and trying to “buy an edge.”
Let me know if you need a workout program after you're done your 2 week vacation. Sometimes you just have to work hard instead of being lazy and try to buy an edge. https://t.co/et3bnhlYD1

And Hecht even doubled down on Bourassa.
The player was very much aware of the banned nature of this product. If he was not, then there is a larger problem of negligence and ignorance that needs to be addressed https://t.co/4DBUQAvhoy

Calgary Stampeders’ offensive lineman Derek Dennis pointed out the irony in Hecht’s tweets on Monday.
This didn’t age well huh 🤣😂 https://t.co/LuOZp3nHy7

Dennis’ teammate, Stamps’ receiver Eric Rogers also provided his take.

Ottawa Redblacks’ punter Richie Leone spoke for many who are patiently waiting to hear what Hecht has to say since the Harris news broke.
I think we are all just waiting on team spokesman @JeffHecht24 for his take on the matter….. v interested in what he has to say since he’s so well versed on the drug policy https://t.co/nC0O2E3COD

While we await any possible comments from Hecht, outspoken B.C. Lions’ receiver Duron Carter had his thoughts on what happened with Harris.
A failed drug test?!?!🧐 A tampering controversy!?!?! 😂😂 I wonder which teams has people tainting bottles of random supplements at GNC 🧐😂
Tune in next week for:
“A Price 2 Pay”That’s why I stay NATURAL!!! ✌🏾

Opponents like Carter and others have taken shots at Harris while his Bombers’ teammates were present at the press conference in support of the hometown star.
Lots of people in the CFL community have weighed in on the Harris situation, but all of us just want to hear from Hecht.
