Bombers’ Canadian defensive back Jeff Hecht has remained quiet following the two-game suspension handed down to Winnipeg running back Andrew Harris for a positive drug test.
That’s notable because after Ottawa Redblacks long snapper Louis-Philippe Bourassa received the same penalty for a banned substance found in his system, Hecht called him out for being “lazy” and trying to “buy an edge.”
And Hecht even doubled down on Bourassa.
Calgary Stampeders’ offensive lineman Derek Dennis pointed out the irony in Hecht’s tweets on Monday.
Dennis’ teammate, Stamps’ receiver Eric Rogers also provided his take.

Ottawa Redblacks’ punter Richie Leone spoke for many who are patiently waiting to hear what Hecht has to say since the Harris news broke.
While we await any possible comments from Hecht, outspoken B.C. Lions’ receiver Duron Carter had his thoughts on what happened with Harris.
Opponents like Carter and others have taken shots at Harris while his Bombers’ teammates were present at the press conference in support of the hometown star.
