The Montreal Alouettes will have to finish Saturday’s game without one of their best defenders.

Three-time CFL all-star Taylor Loffler left the game in the fourth quarter after his left knee appeared to buckle on a cut. Reggie Begelton scored his third touchdown of the game on the play, giving the Stampeders a 28-17 lead.

Loffler suffered two ACL tears prior to being selected in the third round of the 2016 CFL draft. His history of knee injury is cause for concern.

The 27-year-old defender signed with Montreal as a free agent this off-season and has recorded 27 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble in six games on the year.
