Lewis Ward’s record-breaking streak is no more.

The Ottawa Redblacks’ placekicker missed a 31-yard field goal attempt in the first quarter of Saturday’s game, pushing the ball wide to the right. The miss ended his string of consecutive field goals at 69, a streak that dates back to the start of last season.

Ward shattered the previous professional football consecutive field goal record of 44 held by NFL veteran Adam Vinatieri. Many have speculated that Ward’s record will never be broken.
