Pro Football Focus grades on a scale of 0-100. Entering the game, Singleton was listed third on the depth chart at outside linebacker. He played 57 defensive snaps and 13 on special teams.
The 2015 NFL Draft came and went without Singleton hearing his name called, although he signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent, but he was released when the team whittled the roster down to the final 53 players. The New England Patriots signed Singleton that day, but let him go on Sept. 15. After that, the Minnesota Vikings brought Singleton in for the end of the season and waived him in April.
During the time between New England and Minnesota, Singleton filed for his Canadian citizenship as his mother was born in Toronto. The Calgary Stampeders selected Singleton in the first round, sixth overall of the 2016 CFL draft. He took over the starting middle linebacker job as a CFL rookie and put himself among the elite defenders in the league.
Singleton made 123 tackles, four sacks, one interception and forced one fumble in 2017 when he won the most outstanding defensive player award. That was followed by a 123-tackle season in 2018, which was tops in the entire league, as Singleton was named a CFL all-star for the second straight year.
The 25-year-old Canadian football star is working to make the Eagles final 53-man roster.
