Matt Nichols has gone dark with regards to the internet.

Even though his Bombers are 6-2 atop the West Division, there are some people unhappy with the 32-year-old’s performance.

“I don’t hear any of that criticism, I’m pretty dark on the internet these days. I think people can look at the facts,” Nichols said.

Nichols has thrown the most touchdowns passes in the league with 14. But it’s the yards some of the masses are concerned about, Nichols has yet to throw for over 300 yards in a game through eight outings. Rather he’s played consistent football completing more than 70 per cent of his passes with a sparkling 14-4 TD-INT ratio with a 106.2 efficiency rating.

That’s why his head coach doesn’t feel the need to answer the critics.

“Nothing. I don’t need to answer those critics. Anybody can go on social media,” O’Shea said.

Nichols has worn his game manager hat around the facility and occasionally during media sessions. If that’s the description of Nichols’ play so far in 2019, Winnipegers should be just fine with it.
