Bombers LB Adam Bighill healthy and ready for return

Star Bombers linebacker Adam Bighill was one of the members of the team made available to the media on Thursday.

“He’s really good. It means a level of security knowing that he’s going to get guys in the right spots and knowing that he’s going to head off those mistakes before they happen,” Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea said.

“He’s going to get on the sideline and make sure the guys are dialed in. And while he’s doing all that he’s probably going to make a few really big plays.”

That means he’s a go against the Ticats. Bighill had missed the Bombers last three games versus the Reblacks, Argos and Redblacks again, but Winnipeg still managed to stay undefeated at 5-0.

The 30-year-old signed a three-year contract extension in January that paid him a signing bonus of $105,000 included in $230,000 of hard money in the first season. There is a massive $750,000-plus in hard money over the length of the agreement.
