Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Brandon Banks has been fined for swearing at CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie on Twitter.
Banks originally called bullshit on the commish for levying a fine due to unnecessary contact on an on-field official in Hamilton’s Week 5 win versus Calgary.

Speedy B quickly provided provided video evidence making his case against the fine.

Ambrosie didn’t seem to care whether the first fine was warranted or not handing down a second for violating the league’s social media policy. It’s the second fine in less than a week for Banks.
U right @CaretakerBob ! I won’t never do that again and will happily pay the fine ! #doubleupON16 🏦🏦😂😂 https://t.co/d3TysRH1F7

There’s reason for Banks to be upset about losing what is likely half a game check – twice – the maximum fine allowed. He is making $82,500 in base salary for the 2019 season. That means Banks gets $4,583 per game and cut in half it is $2,291 out of his account. But it appears the casino is paying the fines.

Credit Banks for not being afraid to speak his mind. Maybe the commish needs to have some thicker skin.
