The Manny Show is about to debut in Regina.

Star receiver Manny Arceneaux worked with the starting unit at Riders practice all week and is listed as a starter on the team’s depth chart for their Week 6 matchup against his former team, the B.C. Lions.

Arceneaux suffered a torn ACL against Saskatchewan on August 25, 2018 and has been working back towards 100 per cent. He played in nine games last season making 32 catches for 553 yards and one touchdown – 1,000-yard pace. Mosaic Stadium is the same field where he was hurt and now returns between the white lines.

Less than a year later, Arceneaux has healed and ready for game action. The 31-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Riders during free agency in February worth $90,000 in hard money – $60,000 base, $20,000 signing bonus, $10,000 housing – with a $2,000 per game playtime bonus for playing 51 per cent or more of all offensive plays.

The six-foot-two, 210-pound pass catcher spent the first eight years of his CFL career with the B.C. Lions. The Alcorn State University product played 129 games recording 556 receptions for 8,169 yards and 55 touchdowns. Arceneaux had three straight 1,000-yard seasons – including a career-high 1,566 yards in 2016 – from 2015-2017. Two times Arceneaux has been named a CFL all-star (2015 and 2016).

Let’s see what show Arceneaux puts on in green and white.
