The three-time CFL all-star signed a two-year deal with Montreal in February during free agency. He made 10 tackles in one game prior to being injured and missing the Alouettes last two games with a lower body setback.
Loffler was selected by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the third round of the 2016 CFL draft out of UBC. He suited up in 50 of a possible 54 games with Winnipeg making 185 tackles, 12 more on special teams, eight interceptions, seven forced fumbles and one sack.
Montreal started Loffler at safety in Week 1 and it’s where he’ll play when he returns to the lineup.
