3Down power rankings: Who could use some luck?

Luck can be fickle.

It can help you win or allow a big lead to turn into a loss.

There doesn’t seem to be any amount of luck that can help the lowly Argos. You have to make your own luck and the city of Toronto is using all of it it to help Kawhi Leonard re-sign with the Raptors.

The power rankings are done by having 3Down contributors rank each team from No. 1 to No. 9. The team with the fewest “points” gets the top ranking with each subsequent club receiving rankings two through nine. The previous week’s rankings are listed in brackets.

1. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1)

‘Lucky’ is on their side.

2. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3)

Speedy B is all speed — no luck involved.

3. Edmonton Eskimos (2)

Jason Maas should use luck instead of deciding when to kick late-game field goals.

4. Ottawa Redblacks (4)

There was no bad luck on Ottawa’s bye week.

5. Calgary Stampeders (5)

Can the Stamps luck out of a long-term injury to their franchise quarterback?

6. Saskatchewan Roughriders (7)

No luck needed to sink the Argos.

7. B.C. Lions (6)

The Lions are due some luck after what happened in Calgary.

8. Montreal Alouettes (8)

Until Kavis Reed is fired there will be no good luck in Montreal.

9. Toronto Argonauts (9)

If only the Argos could luck into a win.
