The B.C. Lions have signed American defensive back Brandon Dozier to a one-year contract.
Dozier was quietly released by the Montreal Alouettes prior to training camp in May after being named an East Division all-star last season when he recorded 84 tackles, 18 more on special teams and five interceptions. Through 35 career games, Dozier has registered 150 tackles, 33 on special teams, five interceptions, two sacks, two forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown.
The 25-year-old is a versatile defender on the back end. Dozier has two years of CFL experience and can provide a presence on defence.
