Pipkin left Montreal’s season-opener in Edmonton with a right leg injury. He completed 7-of-17 pass attempts for 57 yards plus five carries for 45 yards in almost three quarters of work. The 23-year-old generated a major score in the first quarter, throwing a 20-yard touchdown to prized free agent addition DeVier Posey.
Vernon Adams Jr. engineered two quick scoring drive in replacement of the injured Pipkin during the Als Week 1 loss and will be the starter going forward.
