The Hamilton Ticats have signed national running back/receiver Anthony Coombs.

The Toronto Argonauts released Coombs among the team’s final training camp cuts. Toronto traded up to selected Coombs third overall in the 2014 CFL draft.

Coombs played in 53 games for the Argos registering 170 receptions for 1,539 yards and four touchdowns and rushed 38 times for 194 yards and one touchdown. He managed to play in just two games during the 2018 season due to an ankle injury.
