CFL and CFLPA re-open negotiations on new collective agreement

The CFL and the CFL Players’ Association have re-opened negotiations on the new collective bargaining agreement, multiple sources have confirmed.

Teams across the league were set to hold ratification votes on the pact the two sides agreed to last week but at least one team has cancelled their vote.

The CFLPA sent out a memo to all players late last week detailing the terms of the new agreement, which included moderate increases in the salary cap, revenue sharing on new broadcast revenue and increased protection for injured players.
