Jesse Gibbon is a native of Hamilton and was drafted by the Tiger-Cats this past Thursday. It’s only fitting, then, that he’s headed to the NFL’s version of Steeltown.
Gibbon has accepted a mini-camp invitation from the Pittsburgh Steelers set to take place this upcoming weekend. The Waterloo offensive lineman had an excellent senior season and a strong showing at the CFL national combine, resulting in his selection at second overall.
Interest in Gibbon grew over the course of the off-season with two teams trying to trade up to select the Warriors’ left tackle on draft day.
