Veteran Canadian Lions OL Cody Husband retires

Canadian offensive lineman Cody Husband is calling it a career.

Injury issues appear to be the main cause according to TSN reporter Farhan Lalji.

Husband played in 77 career games over seven seasons, the first two in Hamilton and last five on the West coast in B.C. The 31-year-old went unselected in the 2010 CFL draft.

Husband was at Ticats training camp in 2010, but went back to the University of British Columbia for his fifth and final USports eligibility year. Once his university days were done, Husband made Hamilton’s roster in 2011.

The six-foot-seven, 307-pound Husband was a steady interior presence.
