Riders sign QB Cody Fajardo to one-year deal

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed quarterback Cody Fajardo to a one-year contract through the 2019 season.

Fajardo spent last season with the B.C. Lions completing 14 of 20 for 153 yards and one touchdown while rushing 42 times for 108 yards and five touchdowns. He was the short yardage pivot for the Lions.

The 26-year-old spent the first two seasons of his CFL career in Toronto with the Argos. Fajardo has played in 44 game throwing for 414 yards with five touchdowns and one interception and rushing 112 times for 437 yards with 13 touchdowns.
