LB Larry Dean agrees to terms with Eskimos

The Edmonton Eskimos have agreed to terms with linebacker Larry Dean on a one-year contract, per sources.

Dean turned down a contract offer worth around $175,000 per season from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 30-year-old is the reigning East Division Most Outstanding Defensive Player who had 105 tackles last year and is an excellent defensive playmaker who also brings leadership.

Dean had a stellar 2017 season for the Ticats making 96 tackles, three sacks and forcing three fumbles while playing in all 18 games. Three years in the Hammer saw Dean make 279 tackles, five sacks, five forced fumbles and three interceptions.
