Rose was handed a one-game suspension for pushing an official during Ottawa’s East final win against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 2018 CFL East Division all-star was flagged for unnecessary roughness and ejected for contacting an official with 37 seconds left in the first half following a sideline melee after a Ticats reception.

The 25-year-old immediately appealed his suspension and played in the Redblacks loss to Calgary in the Grey Cup, recording three tackles and one interception.
Rose grabbed five interceptions during the regular season, tied for most in the league, while making 45 tackles and four forced fumbles.
2019 should see Rose serve the one game suspension at some point, but the final ruling needs to come from an arbitrator.
