Ticats re-sign RB Alex Green

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed running back Alex Green.

Green played in eight games last season recording 604 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 114 carries and 17 receptions for 205 yards and one touchdown. 

The 30-year-old has 193 carries for 1,051 rushing yards (5.4 yards per carry average), 12 rushing touchdowns along with 25 catches for 252 yards and one receiving touchdown in 14 career CFL games.

Prior to coming to the CFL, Green played 29 NFL games, starting four, over three seasons split between with the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets. He rushed 149 times for 510 yards and caught 21 passes for 139 yards. The Packers chose Green in the third round, 96th overall, during the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of Hawaii where he shares a connection to current Ticats associate head coach and offensive coordinator June Jones.
