Ticats add QB DeVante Kincade to quarterback mix

Quarterback DeVante Kincade spent time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2018 when practice rosters expanded and impressed enough to earn a contract.

The Ticats signed Kincade with the likelihood of competing for a roster spot at training camp.

Both years Kincade was the starting quarterback for Grambling State University he led the Tigers to Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships. Kincade threw threw for 5,927 yards, 54 touchdowns against eight interceptions while rushing for 642 yards and 10 touchdowns, earning SWAC Offensive Player of the Year honours after his junior and senior seasons. Kincade spent two seasons, playing in 12 games at the University of Mississippi prior to transferring to Grambling where he finished his NCAA career.

The Ticats currently have cemented No. 1 starter Jeremiah Masoli, Dane Evans and Bryant Moniz on the roster at the quarterback position along with the newly added Kincade.
