It’s official: the Saskatchewan Roughriders have made Jeremy O’Day their vice-president of football operations and general manager.
O’Day replaces Chris Jones, who resigned Tuesday to become an assistant coach with the Cleveland Browns.
“Jeremy is a true leader and highly respected throughout the CFL.Riders CEO Craig Reynolds said in a statement. “I have complete confidence he will continue to guide our team in the right direction. He is a quality person and more than ready to assume this position.”
O’Day has spent 20 seasons with the Roughriders. A former offensive lineman, he became football operations co-ordinator after retiring in 2011. He won a Grey Cup wit the club as a player in 2007, then another as an executive in 2013.
