The Calgary Stampeders have released linebacker Jameer Thurman to allow the 23-year-old to sign with the Chicago Bears.

The Bears were one of eight teams Thurman worked out for which also included the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, and Indianapolis Colts.
Thurman played two seasons with the Stampeders making 134 tackles, 29 special teams
Thurman went unselected in the 2017 NFL draft and signed with Calgary for that season.
